Weaving the Collective

Courtney McKeon is a social impact strategist, executive advisor, and founder of The RED Thread Collective, an independent consultancy helping organizations align vision, people, and systems to achieve lasting impact.

Courtney's career has centered on guiding mission-driven organizations through moments of growth, transition, and strategic inflection. She partners with leaders to uncover the red thread connecting purpose to execution — bringing clarity to complexity and helping organizations move from ambition to sustainable results.

She most recently served as a senior executive leading the national expansion of a multi-million-dollar social impact initiative focused on shifting public understanding of complex societal challenges. In this role, she scaled a pilot effort into a nationwide movement, built multidisciplinary teams, secured major philanthropic investment, and convened cross-sector partners.

Earlier in her career, Courtney worked closely with executive leadership and governing boards within a global philanthropic organization, serving in a strategic advisory capacity that strengthened organizational alignment, leadership decision-making, and human capital strategy.

The RED Thread Collective reflects her core philosophy: meaningful social change emerges when the right elements are intentionally connected — people, strategy, data, and shared purpose.

Courtney holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy and Global Health from Duke University. She lives in North Carolina with her husband and four children, whose curiosity continually reminds her why this work matters.
